Yogi Bhajan often shared a short prayer following the "Long Time Sun" song. Many Kundalini Yoga teachers continue with this uplifting tradition of blessing their students with a spontaneous heartfelt prayer or by reading one of Yogi Bhajan's prayers or poems. Here are a few prayers which Yogi Bhajan spoke after classes:
By the blessing of the Guru's Shabd, may you always uphold your consciousness and walk the path of spirit with every step. May the Guru bless us to serve all those whom we are destined to serve. Give us the scope to reach every heart, every being, and to bring joy and happiness. Thank you for this day and for this evening and this chance to talk and share together. You are the kindest of all kindness. You are Lord of all Lords. May Thy Light guide us each step and all through life. Sat Naam.
The time shall be known by your work and by your deeds. If you will serve humanity, you shall be exalted. If you'll be kind, compassionate and caring, God shall honor you with His own hands. Life is waiting for you, and giving you a chance to elevate it. Don't fail. Heal the world. Go. That's why we started Sat Nam Rasayan. Just touch not, and heal. You can feel, get it all in you, throw it away, person is healed. The most powerful language of the world is silence. And that is a healer's language. Remember that.
-The Masters Touch
Blessed is my Creator. Blessed is His creation. Blessed is me as creature, part of all that beauty, bounty, and bliss, and the wonderful world He created—and it is Wha! May we all live in that peace and tranquility, harmony, care and compassion to understand there is one God who lives in all of us, all the time. And that is life. May that life be blessed forever, forever, forever. Sat Nam.
May this life of mine be that of grace, and as a powerful instrument to uplift all I touch, see, and I live with. Forgive my enemies and bless my slanderers and all those who are waiting for my defeat. Give them the strength that they can test their virtues against Yours. Keep Your Light guiding and shining on my path so I can walk unto Thy Heart, with love, with love, with love. Sat Naam.
Blessed be my soul, that as a creature I could relate to the congregation for creativity, and thank the creativity of Gad within me and without me. May each day be like that. May I every time relate to my higher consciousness that is my dignity—full destiny, and may that destination be nearer and nearer, and clearer and clearer so that the dust and the confused life around me may be eliminated. May I rise to the Truth, live in Truth, and respond to the Truth with the force of Truth. Sat Nam.
The bountiful beauty which you have given us, God, may it shine through every pore of our life, from every action, from every living breath. May our friendship be uplifting. May our existence be very healing. May our virtues be shared. May our personality uplift our surroundings and may we practice heavenly existence on this planet Earth. In Thy name we pray. May all be healthy, happy and holy. Sat Nam.
May God give us the power to be loving, kind, peaceful, compassionate, extending ourself to serve and uplift all we see, we meet, we cross. May this day become one of the best, tomorrow one of the super best, and on we go as men of God and women of grace, may we all in His eyes, in His ears, in His tongue, speak the truth. Sat Nam.
May your way always be comfortable. May the wind of happiness be behind you. May you understand the strength of your own soul. May you always be bountiful to help anybody who seeks elevation. May the hand of Nanak protect you. May the power of Guru Ram Das always heal you. May the courage of Guru Gobind Singh give you victory. May the Word of the Siri Guru Granth, give you ecstasy, consciousness, and love. May this planet Earth be awakened to its dignity by your higher consciousness and grace. With this prayer, let every beat of my heart be with you and bless you forever, ever and ever. Sat Naam.
